About Scott

Scott C Quick, Attorney at Law

Scott C Quick is a native Hoosier and graduate of Wabash College (History, French) and the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law (Indianapolis), and has practiced for over twenty (20) years as a litigator in Central Indiana, in both the state and federal courts.

Scott’s native intellect, honed by his liberal arts and legal educations (the latter he refers to as a “doctorate in the liberal arts”), and his experience both from his mentors (Jon Pactor, appellate law and legal malpractice; Leonard Opperman, business and corporate law; Michael D. Sutherlin, civil rights and criminal defense; Terrence J. Sorg, construction defect litigation) and as a solo attorney (primarily family law, criminal law, estate law, real estate law, business law), have given Scott a problem solving skill set that is optimally designed to help you navigate your legal issues in today’s complex landscape.

Scott has also completed both the family law matter and civil matter mediation training, as well as training to participate in collaborative counseling, and has amassed considerable experience both in conducting alternative dispute resolution of legal matters and helping steer his clients through that experience, which most state courts generally require prior to trial or final hearing in civil and family law cases.

As a longtime student of both history and the law, Scott can attest to the truth of his favorite quote from his favorite President (Harry S Truman) that “the only thing new in the world is the history you never learned” – and help you use this wisdom to your advantage. If you are looking for someone to articulately, and both passionately and compassionately represent you, then look no further.

On a Personal Note

Scott C Quick, Attorney at Law

Scott is most at home in nature, as an avid hiker, an inconsistently effective gardener, and as a longtime vegetarian and vegan and animal lover. He’s studied and traveled and/or lived in four (4) of the seven (7) continents (North and South America, Europe, and Asia), and trekked extensively in some of the most iconic mountain ranges on the planet, including the Appalachians, the Rockies, the Alps, the Andes, and the Himalayas.

Scott is also a lover of music, of many genres, but particularly folk and acoustic music, and is a self-taught guitar-picker (but not a good one, so no requests please!) with a finger on the pulse of both music from legends of the past and new music by emerging artists.

Scott’s decades of vegetarianism and veganism have prompted him to become a skilled cook, and he loves to make tasty dishes for friends and loved ones.  When Scott’s not walking or hiking or gardening or biking or playing guitar or listening to music…. etc…. then you’re likely to find him with his nose buried in a book. Learning never stops.
